Criteria
Jerwood Foundation supports excellence and emerging talent in the arts in the UK, they welcome funding applications from organisations with a focus on making art available for public benefit and working with their collection.
They do not have guidelines on the grant size nor specific funding specifications but previously funded organisations have included:
- £70,000 to Young Vic Theatre, to support their Jerwood Assistant Directors Programme, to give eight early-career directors experience working on a Young Vic show.
- £37,500 to The Walk Productions, to support THE HERDS Emerging Company in the UK.
- £40,000 to Mahogany Opera, to support their Jerwood Opera Designers Award to enable three exceptional design teams to create the sets, costumes, lighting, video, and projections for three opera commissions.
- £38,666 to The Glasgow School of Art, to support the Jerwood Curatorial Fellowship to allow two emerging curators to develop a new perspective on artworks from Jerwood collections and deliver an exhibition in a public institution.
