Active Travel Fund provides a share of £1 million in revenue funding for projects that develop, deliver or scale interventions to increase walking, wheeling or cycling. Initiatives should particularly improve access to active travel for underrepresented groups such as:
Eligible projects may involve community initiatives, partnerships between local authorities and businesses or digital tools to enhance safety and accessibility.
Applicants can be sole traders, partnerships, limited liability partnerships, companies, charities, Community Interest Companies or consortia, provided all partners meet the eligibility criteria. Lead organisations must qualify as small or medium-sized enterprises with fewer than 250 employees. While applicants may be registered anywhere in the UK, interventions must be fully delivered in England.
