Criteria

Severn Trent’s new project funding is for brand new projects that have genuine community need and a real impact on improving community wellbeing.

The fund aims to support the wellbeing of communities in the Severn Trent region. They want to fund new projects that link to three key elements of community wellbeing: People, Place and Environment. They are particularly interested in projects that cover all three.

They are also interested in applications for projects that have a connection to water too though it is not essential. Examples might include improved access to and caring for rivers, installing grey water recycling, or creating sustainable drainage and water efficient green spaces.

Grant amount: two sizes of grant are available to apply for:

  • £2,000 to £20,000 for unregistered organisations
  • £20,000 to £50,000 for organisations registered with the Charity Commission or Companies House; or be a state-funded school, statutory body, exempt or excepted charity

Deadlines:

for up to £20,000:

  • Sunday 1 March 2026
  • Monday 31 August 2026

for up to £50,000:

  • Sunday 1 February 2026
  • Sunday 2 August 2026
