Working with international communities

Working with international communities

A Community Hall is filled with long dining tables filled with groups of people eating.

Shropshire European Organisation CIC has supported Eastern European communities across Shropshire since 2015, and in 2024 we were honoured with the King’s Award for Voluntary Service.

At heart, our work is simple: helping people feel they belong and bringing different communities to the same table.

Our International Supper Club, on the second Friday of each month, celebrates a different country’s food and culture.  Our Veterans Community Breakfast, with Old Comrades, runs on the first Friday of every month, 10am to 1pm. And on Friday 23 October, 11am to 1pm, the Shropshire Diversity Forum brings people together to share views and ideas across communities.

Everyone is welcome, and we’re at Ditherington every Friday, 11am to 2pm, for a cuppa and a chat.
