A support and mentoring programme for a group of aspiring artists from different backgrounds who all seek to develop their work and learn how to become successful artists. There will be a selection process, briefing meetings, preparatory studies, individual mentoring, public viewing of the artists at work, a finished painting, the curation of an exhibition and a celebratory / judging event with opportunity for the artists to share their crafts with the public.
What’s involved:
Mentoring
Group sessions to guide the artist’s process and support development.
Sketchbook Practice
Fill sketchbooks with explorations, ideas, writing, and drawings.
Exhibition
Complete a final piece (canvas or framed A2 work) to be exhibited alongside the sketchbook/s in a professional gallery space.
Awards Ceremony
A weekend exhibition open to the public, with a prize-giving event and feedback from professional judges.
Creative Community
Be part of a cohort of like-minded artists working towards a shared goal.
