Vibrant Shropshire: A Cultural Compact is part of a national network of compacts supported and funded by Arts Council England and the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.

Vibrant Shropshire aims to support the county’s cultural sector through information, networking, training, grants and projects.

Vibrant Shropshire launches 'This is Shropshire' Cultural Commissions

Vibrant Shropshire: a Cultural Compact has secured funding from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to commission a programme of arts and cultural activities that make up a county-wide festival under the banner of ‘This is Shropshire’.

Oswestry Memorial Hall: Move, Make, Mend

Last summer, with support from Vibrant Shropshire, OMH hosted over 30 new activities and sessions aimed at bringing together younger and older members of the community: bridging the generations at a time when misunderstanding and disconnect between generations is growing.

Shropshire Youth Fringe Festival in Shrewsbury

In 2024, with the support of a grant from Vibrant Shropshire, Shropshire Youth Theatre was able to organise its first youth fringe festival over two days in July and operating from The Hive and the The Nerdy Café in Shrewsbury.

‘This is Shropshire’ Cultural Commissions: £5,000

Vibrant Shropshire: a Cultural Compact has secured funding from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to commission a programme of arts and cultural activities that make up a countywide festival under the banner of ‘This is Shropshire’.
This brief is for arts and cultural practitioners to deliver one of twelve projects to address one of the listed themes.
TWELVE individual commissions will be made each with a value of £5,000 to cultural practitioners.

The Museum Association, funded by the Julia Rausing Trust, are launching a programme of grant-making, networking and learning dissemination for health and wellbeing programmes in museums.

Funded schemes must be located and delivered within Shropshire and predominantly serve Shropshire residents.
